Mean Girls turns 15 in 2019 and so does The Riverfront, so we are having a birthday screening! It's going to be so fetch! (Can't believe that never happened).
Teenage Cady Heron was educated in Africa by her scientist parents. When her family moves to the suburbs of Illinois, Cady finally gets to experience high school and gets a quick lesson on the cruel laws of popularity that divide her fellow students into tightly knitted cliques. She unwittingly finds herself in the good graces of an elite group of students - the 'Plastics', but Cady soon realises how this shallow group earned their nickname.
So if you love Mean Girls or are new to it come along, just remember "on Wednesdays we wear pink", we'd love to see you... but you can't sit with us!
We’ll be showing films from the last century (and one or two from this century too) to give you the opportunity to enjoy your favourites as they should be – on the big screen.
We think that watching a film in the dark with an audience can really change how you view it – even when you know what’s coming next. So whether it’s your first or your thousandth time watching this classic – we think you will have the best time.
